Poor sanitation can affect the transmission of diseases such as cholera, dysentery, hepatitis A, and typhoid fever. (The OECD urges the development of “strategic actions” that ensure humanity’s access to quality water. These figures give us an idea of the current great problem and teach us that if we do not take action, it will increase, really putting safe water supply at risk.)

The methods of treatment and disinfection of drinking, use and reusable waters that are effective and clean with the environment and health are a growing demand. The water tanks in means of transport, cruises, boats, caravans, motorhomes and others such as ventilation towers, are exposed to the risk of developing microorganisms responsible for causing different health problems. Like any tank where biofilm can form (a medium where pathogens such as legionella develop), they must be properly disinfected for the water supply without any sanitary risk.

For potable water treatments

KP-DES® 50 A is especially indicated for the treatment of drinking and use water, whether they are public fountains, wastewater, wells or ponds and all their distribution systems. It is also suitable for guaranteeing water quality in the post-harvest process. It has the ECHA PT5 for the disinfection of drinking water for human and animal use. It disinfects and purifies the water without leaving toxic traces and without affecting the smell or taste. KP-DES® 50 A is an ally in the fight against the lack of safe and quality water supply.

Advantages

Very stable, easy to use and non-foaming even at high temperatures. Treatment without chlorine or bromine, so that trihalomethanes (THMS) are not formed, nor toxic and irritating gases when in contact with acids in the correct doses. Eliminates biofilm and legionella. Easily biodegradable in oxygen and water, so treated water discharges are not dangerous. No harmful microorganisms resistant to this biocide have been observed.

Application

indicated for disinfection of water tanks, cooling and ventilation systems, post-harvest water and water recycling. It is generally applied by injection of the pure product into the irrigation circuit by means of a semi-automatic (programmable) or automatic dosing pump (by controlling hydrogen peroxide by means of an online sensor). Even at a very low concentration, it disinfects the water, and prevents and / or eliminates the biofilms or dirt biofilms that are created in water pipes and reservoirs, in areas where the flow of water is very slow or non-existent, avoiding contamination of these.

Properties

It has the ECHA PT5 for the disinfection of drinking water for human and animal use. It disinfects and purifies the water without leaving toxic traces, without harmful side effects and without affecting the smell or taste. It complies with the UNE-EN 902: 2016, RD 140/2003 and Order SSI /304/2013 on the quality of drinking water. It prevents the appearance of algae and favors the enrichment of oxygen and has high residual bactericidal and algaecide effect.
