Biofilms or biofilms are microbial organisations composed of microorganisms that adhere to surfaces by secreting an exopolymer. The exopolymer<\/strong> that forms the biofilm<\/strong> provides protection against biocides and medicines<\/strong> to the bacteria. Thus the bacteria<\/strong> of the biofilm have a slow but continuous growth under normal conditions. In the meantime, it has been shown that biofilm bacteria are 10 to 1000 times more resistant<\/strong> to oxidising biocides such as chlorine, iodine or ozone<\/strong><\/p> .\n\n\n\n This characteristic makes them difficult to remove or even control in water supply pipes, accumulating on any industrial or domestic surface, biomaterial and medical equipment etc. This creates a real risk to human, animal and plant health.\n\n\n\n Our hydrogen peroxide easily penetrates the mucous layer where it breaks down into oxygen and water. Thanks to the stable formulation of KP-DES\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> this splitting between water and oxygen is delayed and results in the formation of small gas bubbles which start to chain together making larger bubbles in the matrix and causing the mucosa to break away from the surface.
